So Long, Farewell Posted by pinkpanther at AM 0 comments. Labels: hookie , mr disorder , starfuckers. I often get a lot of tracks from new producers.

Most don't stack up but once in a while you stumble on an Algeronics and Luny P. Daft Punk fans will see the influence of the duo on the track which is the highlight of what Deux Helix has done so far.

The American duo bring a psychadelic mood over grinding electro beats which have me excited for future offerings. Watch this space. Posted by pinkpanther at PM 0 comments. Labels: deux helix. Wikipedia claims that Booka Shade are German electrohouse duo, well I don't agree with that but they certainly are German and their melodic beats have that German tech touch. I would dscribe their style as an anthemic club banger crossed over with a melancholy melodies dressed in a dark and brooding suit.

This set which features alot of acts from their Get Physical label is the perfect come down mix after a big night out, which I think I've said about a lot of mixes on the blog!

Its Monday night in Sydney and as I'm recovering from a big weekend I'm thinking about how crazy the past few months have been. When I started my little blog I just wanted to share all the cool mixes I'd collect out the blog world. But I've been lucky and my little side project has gotten me in touch with lots of cool peeps.

None cooler than the guys from Sweat It Out , who are well just in my opinion the finest and coolest dance music label in the world. After some initial side glances and flirting we have consumated our affair and our now joined at the proverbial hip.

She is in the purple-lit room she uses as a backdrop for her live gaming sessions, having started dabbling as a Twitch streamer during the pandemic after being inspired by the British songwriter and fellow gamer Shura , who has since become a close friend. Brown became obsessed with playing The Last of Us, Part II, a post-apocalyptic adventure game with a gay female lead and a trans character, as well as sharing the experience with likeminded viewers.

But in The Last of Us, they just look like real girls. The first single, a gutsy disco belter called Guilty Love, owes as much to the stomping sci-fi rock of Muse as it does to Donna Summer.

Yet Brown was still terrified of coming out to them, which she did in her early 20s. They used a shared Ableton screen, which allowed Brown to send live feedback to whomever she was working with.

As well as motherhood and cancer, there have been other big life changes for Brown since the release of her last album, Wild Things, five years ago. So I sort of started, like, seeing him and going on walks and just doing things that sort of got me out of the house.

It was a long, slow journey, to be honest, but I got there in the end. I'm shouting to nobody. You build up the sympathy and then you feel lost at sea. I'm seven years sober now, so yeah, that was sort of like the beginning for me of trying to get my mental health in check. Like, you know, it's always been an issue for me - anxiety, depression, everything. And, you know, the drinking wasn't helping, and I recognized that. And I sort of thought, I've got to stop this so I can start feeling better about myself and recognizing everything going on in my head.

Yeah, it was really hard. I had some good friends that helped me, and I sort of went to AA meetings and, you know, sat in the back and listened to people's stories. But it was really, really helpful. And yeah, it was really hard. And it still is because, you know, people celebrate with a glass of champagne.

I've got a record coming out. I don't know if I could celebrate with a glass of champagne. Well, I can't, you know laughter.

It's these moments that I sort of miss a little bit. But yeah, I'm glad I'm sober. I'm better this way. I'm kind of falling down. Run fast, talk slow, gotta make the time go, big plans, small fonts, don't know how the time flies, don't know how the time flies. Well, I've always been a gamer, but I have to say, it's reached all new levels of obsession. I started streaming my gaming on Twitch.
